Fifth Grade Overview
Fifth graders have Instructional Technology once a year for 26 days. Topics covered are navigating through the drives of a computer, organizing files, Google Productivity Apps, appropriate use of the Internet, and the exploration of many different web tools. Students are assessed on completion of guided, independent and collaborative tasks and projects.
It is VERY important students are prepared with their passwords to access needed tools each day in class. Student planners are great places to keep track of passwords.

Guided ActivitiesStudents in Grade 5 participate in daily activities, guided by the instructor to reinforce basic skills. Some of these activities are listed below: 1. Exploring Google Apps 2.Organizing digital files and the Google Drive 3. Working with graphics, Clip Art and Internet photos 4. Inserting and manipulating bullets and numbered lists 5. Using Headers 6. Utilizing templates 7. Understanding basic appropriate design for presentations 8. Using animation properly in presentations 9. Presenting using technology 10. Proper use and selection of network printers / Previewing documents before printing 11. Digital Citizenship |
